On the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya, Yogi Priyavrat Animesh ji held puja of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Maha Lakshmi.

Akshaya means “never diminishing” and the term Tritiya signifies “the third day of the illuminated half of Vaishakha month“.

Several auspicious events including

  • Sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, Parshuram, was born on this date.
  • Advent of Ganges.
  • Maharishi Ved Vyasa, the author of Mahabharata, started narrating the epic to Lord Ganesh on this day.
  • It was on this occasion that Lord Krishna met his childhood friend Sudama.
  • Worshipping Kuber is auspicious practice on this day.

Srividya temple of Voda Mahadev under Ooj Foundation held Kuber Puja and Vishnu sahasranama with rose petals in praise of the Lord and Goddess Maha Lakshmi with Kanakdhara Stotram.
